“India-Australia 3rd Test: Tied at 1-1”

Rain Stops Play And Ashwin Says Goodbye To International Stage!

At the Gabba, the third Test match between India and Australia ended in a rain-affected draw, making the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series very exciting with both teams tied at 1-1.

A Battle Against Time and Weather

The last day started with India continuing their first innings at 260/9, still behind Australia’s strong total of 445. The final partnership between Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah didn’t last long, as Deep was out quickly, ending India’s innings at the same score.

Australia’s second innings was fast, trying to set a tough target before the expected rain came. Travis Head scored a great 152 in the first innings, but his second innings was shorter, and there were worries about his health after he seemed to have trouble during the match. Head, though, said he was fine and would be ready for the next Test on Boxing Day.

The weather, which was difficult all through the game, was very important on the last day. Dark clouds were in the sky, and it rained off and on. Because of this, only 2.1 overs were played in India’s second innings before the game was stopped. The rain kept coming, so neither team could win, and the game ended in a tie.

Ashwin’s Farewell: An Emotional Moment

Adding to the day’s drama, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin announced his retirement from international cricket. Ashwin has taken 537 wickets in Test matches, and his leaving is the end of a special time for Indian cricket. His emotional hug with captain Virat Kohli in the locker room showed how much the team cares about each other and respects him.

Series Update: All Eyes on Melbourne

The series is tied at 1-1, and excitement is growing for the fourth Test. Both teams have shown toughness and talent, making the Border-Gavaskar Trophy even more exciting.

Australia wants to use their home field to their benefit, while India hopes to keep their good energy going and find a way to replace Ashwin, who is no longer playing.

As cricket fans focus on Melbourne, they can look forward to another exciting match in this long-standing competition.
